How I ended up here
A drive to make an impact has lead me to design. A passion for inclusion and accessibility was ignited at the start of my career in finance as I saw how many marginalised groups are excluded from financial literacy. Seeking a more creative path, I transitioned into architecture, where I learnt how to understand people and implement design thinking.
These experiences taught me the power of thoughtful design and its impact on people's lives. When I eventually stumbled upon a human-centred design course during my architectural studies, and it was love at first wireframe!
Why I do it
My architecture mentor taught me the joy of knowing you've made a positive impact on someone's life, even if they'll never know it was you.
For him, it was the ability to stand in a lobby, knowing that he had designed a beautiful home for people. For me, the magic of UX design is in the potential to touch countless lives in a meaningful way, all behind the scenes.

As her Lead UI Designer, I have enjoyed working with Zoe and helping her develop her skills in using design systems to create wireframes.
Zoe helped to completely change the theme of my website. What started off as a rather bland and uninviting journey through the sites' various pages ended as an amazingly bright and colourful visual experience. The flow of the entire website is much more enjoyable and beneficial for the customer, with many new interactions and points of contact available.
She also helped me to build a really strong message throughout each of the sections, fostering a greater sense of community for our existing members and for those looking from the outside in (i.e. potential members).
This website is now an exact visual representation of what the company is about, and Zoe helped to highlight all of these ideas by using her design expertise. I would highly recommend her work to any other individuals or companies that want to stand out in a competitive industry!
Zoe has a high attention to detail. she truly cares about the final outcome and how effective it will be. Consistently describes her design decisions and how they align with users expectations, wants and needs.
She is organised and efficient - gets things done in a timely manner and make sure everything runs on schedule.
Zoe is empathetic and an effective communicator and collaborator - working collaboratively with her is effortless due to her communication skills. She is honest, transparent and considerate in regards to reporting any updates and ensuring all team members are on the same page.

Zoe Lamond has been a pleasure to collaborate with; for her enthusiasm, her creativity and most pertinently, the sterling work she was able to create for me.
I approached Zoe with an idea and rough vision. She was able to transform my vision into a reality seamlessly, while adding to it with unique and dynamic suggestions of her own, culminating in a final design that far exceeded with I had envisaged initially.
She was timely and punctual with deadlines, and did not falter in the face of arbitrary or difficult requests. It is rare to collaborate with someone who exhibits such a strong combination of professionalism, ingenuity, and competence.
